When it comes to business creation, I find myself pretty ambitious about it. But, there is a difference between being ambitious and having capability. I am not the one who has a business idea.
As every individual I want to start a business of my own. We have a transportation business. Its a family business. Since my father is in charge of this, I dont even think to get involve in it. My father thinks he knows everything about the business, so, no donuts for me !
I do not know what business will be okay for me but I have somehow planned my journey to become a businessman. Since businesses share some core principles, therefore, I want to know the principles first. And when the time comes to start a business, I shall use my knowledge to get it started.
Jumping into the river without knowing how to swim is suicidal and I am pretty sure that I shall make a mess if I started outright with a business. The first thing that comes in to mind is to learn business first ! For this purpose, I have come to JIBS. (I hope JIBS will live upto the expectations). What I need to do at JIBS is to find a mentor, who can guide me in a right way. When I feel that I have some knowledge, I shall preferably contact Science Park where I can put my theory to test. I plan to do this by volunteering with other entrepreneurs. Being an assistant and being directed helps me alot most of the time. I am flexible and positive all the time so I dont mind if some one is directing me. This will help me alot in understand the core of businesses and the problems of start-ups.
Next thing that I should do is to join a company. This will be very good for me if I get into company as Management trainee. I shall get much of the business knowledge and ettiquets during the training. Management trainees are also paid so it will be a bonus that I skip some years of schooling and still learning management.
With 3-4 years of experience, I will have enough knowledge and most importantly, the networking, to think of a business and start it.
Though, it is long route but since I am flexible so any time I felt that I am ripe to start a business, I shall waste no time about it.
